It’s like you’re really there.’, ‘Cool,’ Robert said., Asif saw something in a quiet corner. ‘Look at this,’ he said., There were two VR helmets and a sign in big red letters., The sign said: DANGER. Experimental game. Play at your own risk., ‘Let’s try it,’ Asif said., ‘But maybe it’s dangerous,’ said Robert., But he was too late. Asif was already wearing a helmet. Robert put on the other helmet. ‘There’s a menu,’ Robert said. ‘Can you see it?’, ‘Yes, I can,’ Asif answered. ‘We can choose a virtual world.’, ‘The first one is Roman London,’ said Robert., ‘Boring,’ said Asif. ‘What about the next one: The Great Fire of London?’ he said excitedly. ‘OK,’ said Robert. ‘But how do we start it?’, ‘Push the button,’ Asif told him., ‘Hey, I can see my hand in the game!’ Robert said., ‘That’s virtual reality,’ Asif explained., A few moments later, they were in London in the year 1666., ‘Wow!’ said Robert. ‘This is amazing.’, The two boys were in a dark street. Robert looked up. Between the houses he could see the sky. It was red., ‘Look, Asif! The fire!’ said Robert. ‘It’s so real.’, ‘Yeah,’ said Asif. ‘And look at all the people. They look real too. This is great.’, There were lots of people in the street. They had all kinds of things in their arms: bags, boxes, chairs, babies, musical instruments … Everybody looked scared., ‘Come on,’ said Robert. ‘Let’s find the fire.’, ‘Careful!’ said Asif. ‘It’s very dirty here.’, ‘Too late!’ said Robert. ‘Look at my shoe. Yuck! It smells.’, ‘Look!’ said Asif. ‘What is it?’, ‘Rats!’ Robert shouted. ‘Lots of rats. This is too realistic for me!’, ‘Who are you? You talk funny,’ said one woman to Robert., ‘There are two of them,’ said a man. ‘They’re not from here.’, ‘What are you doing here?’ asked the woman., ‘Er … We came to see the fire,’ said Robert., ‘They came to see the fire!’ said another man., People stopped and looked at them. They weren’t friendly., Asif said to Robert, ‘Come on. I don’t like this. Let’s go!’, They were near the Tower of London now. They had a good view of the city., ‘Oh my God!’ Robert was shocked. ‘Look, Asif.’, It was terrible. There were fires everywhere., ‘You know what?’ Robert said. ‘This isn’t much fun.’, ‘Yeah,’ Asif answered. ‘Let’s try a different game. Take off your helmet.’, Both boys took off their helmets. But nothing happened., ‘We’re still here! What’s happening?’ Asif was scared., ‘I don’t know! This was your idea,’ Robert shouted. ‘Do something!’, ‘I know,’ Asif said. ‘Find the plug. Then we can stop the game.’, ‘But where is it?’ asked Robert., ‘I don’t know. Try the walls of the Tower!’, ‘The walls of the Tower?’ said Robert., ‘Just look, Robert,’ said Asif angrily. ‘It’s only a game!’, Suddenly there was a flash., ‘What was that flash?’ Robert asked., ‘I don’t know,’ said Asif. ‘Just look for the plug. Quickly!’, The boys felt the walls. They were hot., ‘It’s funny,’ Asif said. ‘I can really feel these walls.’, ‘So?’ asked Robert., ‘Well, you can see and hear things in virtual reality games. But you can’t feel things.’, ‘And we can feel the walls,’ said Robert. ‘So …’, ‘So,’ said Asif. ‘I think we’re really here.’, Just then somebody shouted., ‘Stop those two boys. They started the fire.’ Lots of people stopped and looked., ‘We didn’t start the fire,’ shouted Asif. ‘We haven’t done anything!’, ‘They started the fire! Stop them!’ another voice shouted., ‘What are they going to do, Asif?’ cried Robert. ‘I’m scared.’ and ‘Run!’ said Asif..
