My grandparents are catholic, so we light up the last candle of advent at midnight in a little chapel they have in the back yard., I have literally smelt my own eyeballs burning before., Riding bikes on the boardwalk, Going to Christmas Tree Lane, Making epic gingerbread houses the weekend after Thanksgiving to kick off the Christmas season, Eating Dungeness crab caught in our crab pots for Christmas dinner along with salmon and asparagus., Watching Little Women with my mom and sister., We have a big Christmas breakfast before we open presents, I can make a weird alien-sounding noise with my tongue, Cheesy potato soup in bread bowls and a play on Christmas Eve, At 5'11.5", I'm the shortest of my siblings., I used to design corn mazes., Making candy canes into hearts and giving them to people each Christmas with a sweet message on a card., Every year, my family sets a goal to see how many acts of service we can give between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is fun to look for different ways to serve, and hear about the experiences we are each having. It truly makes the season brigh, Going up to the mountains and cutting down a Christmas Tree.
