This bingo card has a free space and 29 words: writing is the way we ____, he's like a much less innately talented teacher from dead poet's society, some kid is playing block blast, "what did i even learn from this?", completely tangential conversation that never gets to where it's going, his discussion on actual publishing amounts to "have connections in the industry", wow that's a really good point, repeats that point, a mediocre answer gets mr. syjuco yapping for fifteen minutes, looks like he's gonna give you advice, doesn't, you get kinda interested in what he's saying, "i'm gonna fire my editor", same 4 people answer, mr butcher and mr callaghan raptly nod, you look at julian's screen and he's on chatgpt, you get kinda interested but you realize he probably has less idea of where this discussion is heading than you do, that stupid iceberg, he points to the tension graph, metaphor regarding writing that makes zero sense, ??? what does he mean???, "do you guys know of (thing you learn in grade one)", you get the sinking feeling he doesn't have any clue what each lesson will bring, at a certain point you can check out mentally and still have learned everything of substance mentioned in the class, by the 3:45 mark everyone's laptop screen is up, shanti plays a video game the whole class, mr butcher sounds downright obsessed with making absent kids get back here NOW!, mr butcher basically says this is the best use of your time over clubs or other commitments, the teachers have exponentially more respect for sir syjuco than us, someone forgets to pass on the list and someone inconspicuously glances at the time.
