Watch a movie with your family. Jog in place during the commercials.
Try a new fruit and vegetable. What were they?
Go for a 10 minute walk. After each minute stop and do 10 jumping jacks or 10 each of an exercise of your choice. Remember to stretch when you are done.
Toe touches. Bend and touch your toes. Lift your legs off the ground and try and touch your toes while your legs are in the air.
Cover your cough and sneeze with your elbow.
Gather your friends or family and start a line dance. Prefer the Electric Slide? The Cha Cha Slide? The Cupid Shuffle? Try them all or make up your own.
Put a target on a wall and see if you can hit your target. Keep trying.
While watching t.v. do 10 chair dips, 10 sit-ups (with your feet under the couch) 10 squats.
Hopscotch. Can’t do it outside, use tape on the floor.
Practice basketball passes: 10 chest, 10 bounce, 10 overhead, 10 behind the back.
Clean up race! Set a timer and see how quickly you can clean up the room. More than one room? Grab a partner and pick different rooms and race each other.
Eat breakfast every day.
Brush your teeth at least twice a day.
Get a full night’s rest every night.
Plank off! Challenge your friends or family to a plank off. See who can hold the pose the longest. Keep trying!
Sports! Try soccer kicks, football passes, softball pitches, baseball throws.
Inch worm. Start by standing up, bend at the waist, and walk your hands out until you have a flat back and are supported by your toes and hands. Walk your feet forward to meet your hands. And stand back up. Repeat as much as you can.
Animal races! Hop like a bunny, squat and waddle like a duck, slither like a snake, walk like a bear, crawl like a walrus.
Run/ Walk. Walk for 1 minute, then run for 1 minute, walk for 1 minute, run for 1 minute. Repeat as many times as you can.
How many times can you keep a balloon or ball up in the air without it hitting the floor. Keep trying to beat your best score.
Jump rope. Don’t have a rope? Pretend you do. Try different moves.
Popcorn pushups! Put a small bowl of popcorn on the floor. Each time you lower yourself down in a pushup, stick your tongue out and try and grab a piece.
Push over! Have an adult stand still. See if you can move them. Make it easier for the littler ones by standing on one foot.
Practice what you are learning in gym class.
Wash your hands before and after eating, after using the bathroom and after playing outside.
