Feathers everywhere, I chirp and sing,
Step inside and watch the colors take wing.
I have a striped tail I swing with flair,
I leap through trees without a care.
Tiny creatures with many legs,
Some buzz, some crawl, some hide in pegs.
Flightless I am, yet I waddle with grace,
In tuxedo attire, I race in my space.
I have tusks and warts upon my face,
I root in the dirt all over the place.
Spots like dots, I run so fast,
The quickest in the land, none can surpass.
I stand on one leg, pink as can be,
Wading in water for all to see.
Armored and ancient, I snap and creep,
In rivers and swamps, I silently leap
I slither or crawl, my skin is tough,
Sun keeps me warm, but I’m sly enough.
Stripes of fire, silent and sly,
I prowl the jungle, unseen I lie.
I stand on guard, alert and small,
In sandy burrows, I watch it all.
Hungry visitors stop right here,
To eat, drink, and rest for a cheer.
I howl at night with my pack in tow,
Silent and fierce where cold winds blow.
Smooth and flat, I glide in the bay,
Reach out your hand and feel me play.
I float on my back and crack a snack,
In water I swim and never look back.
I lumber through forests, fur thick and brown,
I growl and I roar, the strongest around.
My neck is tall, I reach the trees,
Spots all over, I eat with ease.
Mighty hunter, I rule the plain,
Hear my roar across the terrain.
Soft and friendly, come meet and play,
You can touch and feed me every day.
I hop all day and carry my young,
In Australia’s sun, my jumps are long.
Brush and dig, uncover the past,
Bones of giants that didn’t last.
I run so fast, my legs are strong,
I can’t fly, but I race along.
I have huge ears and a trunk to spare,
Gentle giant roaming with care.
I carry my home upon my back,
Slow and steady, I stay on track.
I swing and hang from branch to tree,
The smartest ape you’ll ever see.
I bark and splash, I flip and glide,
In water and on land, I love to ride.
I wander the jungle, quiet and shy,
With a trunk-like nose, I sniff as I spy.
I sport sharp a point upon my head,
I roam the wild or fields I tread.
I leap and bound across the plain,
With slender horns, I run like the rain
