Word Attack Strategies - Call List

(Print) Use this randomly generated list as your call list when playing the game. There is no need to say the BINGO column name. Place some kind of mark (like an X, a checkmark, a dot, tally mark, etc) on each cell as you announce it, to keep track. You can also cut out each item, place them in a bag and pull words from the bag.

1. Make connections to other words you've heard.
2. Split the word into syllables and chunk it.
3. Is there a prefix?
4. Do you see a word part you already know?

6. Can you use your background knowledge?
7. Cover part of the word and solve one piece at a time.
8. Use visual clues.
9. Try to reread the sentence.
