Hashem put aside this fish from when the world was created
Hashem gave back his life as a fetus(doesn't need air)
He ate the 16 days' worth of מן that בני ישראל never ate
The sailors came before him and told everyone the story, and the stories matched

יונה knows Hashem is angry at him so he wants there to be fewer passengers on the boat in case something happens to the boat
