Story Book Journey - Call List

(Print) Use this randomly generated list as your call list when playing the game. There is no need to say the BINGO column name. Place some kind of mark (like an X, a checkmark, a dot, tally mark, etc) on each cell as you announce it, to keep track. You can also cut out each item, place them in a bag and pull words from the bag.

  1. Completely fill out the Questions to Guide Planning form.
  2. On day one of the SBJ you only need to have the bulletin board with the SBJ title and the vocabulary words posted.
  3. Use the full date - mm/dd/yyyy on the lesson plans
  4. Use the prop chapter of the Storybook Journey by Sue McCord for enhancement ideas.
  5. You should be able to get three to five activities for each idea (concept).
  6. An exception to using a literacy kit can be made by your C/I Coordinator.
  7. The word IDEA can be substituted for CONCEPT.
  8. Free!
  9. Kits can be transported by your C/I Coordinator and Director.
  10. Brainstorm two to three ideas for your SBJ.
  11. ECLC only makes process art, not progress art. You do not have to post every piece of art for every child on every display.
  12. A list with summaries and enhancements with age recommendations will be supplied soon.
  13. Don't forget the NAEYC vocabulary words are different than the book vocabulary words.
  14. Ideas should be concrete, tangible and specific.
