It is funny to watch how the picture progressed each year with my youngest going from being the extreme shortest t, someone dressed up as Santa Clause visits every Christmas Eve on my husbands side of the family, for the last 60 years and brings a small gift for each child and takes pictures with each family., Always spend them with family., The whole family comes over and we eat the whole day. Then sleep, wake up and eat some more. My husband and I bake pies together and I bake/ decorate cookies or cakes with my son., Matching family PJs, We read "The Night Tree" and make treats for the animals and hang them on the tree outside on Christmas Eve., Making and decorating cookies on Christmas Eve, going to church on christmas eve with immediate family and having a late lunch at after. opening gifts on christmas morning with our pyjamas still on at my in-laws., Sledding on Christmas Eve, Drinking heavily spike eggnog., Going to church, having birthday cake (my mom's birthday) and opening gifts on Christmas Eve. Santa always arrived early at our house while we were at church - lucky us!, My parents put candles in milk jugs and line the driveway on Christmas Eve. For the month of December, we have one night a week with no tv/phones/electronics, Wearing at least one piece of new attire, Get together with family members, then cruising around with friends, When our families are all together we have a big dinner on Christmas Eve and then open presents and tell stories about when we were children., At my parents, we used to have Posadas (sing along verses of Joseph and Mary asking for a place to spend the night on Christmas Eve)., Shopping for my wife with my daughter., In the Philippines we celebrate Christmas during midnight of 25 its a big feast we called it Noche Buena or Midnight Meal and continue celebrating the whole day of Dec.25., Open 1 present on Christmas eve, Christmas, Christmas Eve game night, Christmas lights, Lights - Local Park completely decorated in lights, Since my son was old enough to really enjoy Christmas I have started doing Christmas lights outside (icicle lights on the porch, figures in the yard, lasers on the house, etc). Each year we also pick out new Hallmark ornaments and the yearly stuf, Christmas Tree, Christmas tree and decorating the fireplace mantle, Ornaments on the tree, Snowmen, lights, Christmas Tree, and lights, snow man band candle holder, Christmas story leg table lamp, electronic snow globe (circulates the snow when turned on), Christmas lights on houses, mistletoe, Inflatables, Using lightings, Christmas tree, bethlehem cave, Ornaments collected from over the years and pictures of my children with Santa when they were younger, Nativity sets, Christmas Tree, Ones that we made with our children or they made at school, Lights, Elves, Potato Salad, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Brown sugar ham, pecan pie, Chocolate Layer Cake, "In the USA: turkey with mashed potatoes and winter vegetables. Cranberry-orange cake., In my home country: feijoada (black bean stew with collard greens), polenta with roasted chicken, and anything that my mom cooks.", Christmas cookies!, Cookies, Pie, Decorated Gingerbread Men and Sugar cookies, homemade cinnamon buns made by my wife. I can down a a whole bag in 1/2 hour, Pasta Salad, heavily-spiked eggnog, Potatoes in any form (mashed, baked, twice baked, etc., I don't discriminate!), Pecan pie, Mom's pull-apart herb bread, Home baked fruit cake, Roasted piglet or roasted broiler, Home made pecan pralines, Turkey, fruit salad, and cranberry jelly, Snow Capped Pie, Fruit cake, steak and Lobster, Turkey, Duck. or Lamb and BBQ.
