Study Habits Bingo

This bingo card has 44 words: Set your priorities & make sure they are achievable, Review information in notes, handouts, etc. as close to the class time as possible, Always attend class and be on time, Sit in the front of the classroom, Use “in-between” time to study and review, Start assignments as soon as they are given, Use abbreviations and symbols in notes, Get to know your teacher, Study when you are most alert, Plan at least 1 study block every day of the week, Establish a regular study area, Keep notes in a separate section of your notebook only used for that class, Read assignments prior to class, Review notes regularly (right after class, before bed, weekly, prior to test), Record examples and anything that the instructor repeats, Schedule short, regular study periods, Try not to leave anything to be completed on the weekend, Keep on top of your work, Reward yourself when you reach a goal, Recopy or type notes if possible, Set a specific amount of material to study per subject, Take regular study breaks (10-15 minutes), Obtain notes for missed classes, Avoid studying marathons & all-nighters, Study the hardest, least liked subject first, practice with flashcards, ask someone to quiz you, read, reread, highlight your notes, summarize, read your notes, read your notes aloud, organize your papers so you are working with everything you need, outline or make a graphic version of written work (lists, columns, Venn diagrams, etc.), do a project, quiz yourself, write memory work over and over until you feel confident, use a worksheet as a quiz by covering over the answers and re-doing it, look over old quizzes and try to figure out why you're making mistakes, look over the returned assignments for the unit, answer study guide questions, tell someone else what the topic is about and look up the parts of the assignments that you didn't understand the first time.
