A goal is statement of something you want to accomplish or something that you want to obtain or achieve; goals motivate you and provide focus to your life.
SESSION 4-
When communicating your feelings, begin your statements with “I” instead of “You”. “You” statements sound like blame and they tend to put people on the defensive.
You can choose the kind of person that you want to grow into. Consider your character, values and role models and how they all will come together to help shape the person you will become.
Self-esteem is how you view yourself and how you feel about yourself inside and out. In order for your self-esteem to grow, you need to accept yourself for who you are and give yourself credit for your talents, skills and abilities.

Alcohol, drugs and other substances/chemicals, have a detrimental effect on the teenage brain because it is still forming and growing. Outside chemicals stunt the growth and prevent development to its full potential.
You are not alone; there are many families and many teens going through similar struggles as you. There are lots of supportive resources available to you in your community, plus this program, and your facilitators, are here for you.
Stress can be managed using coping-skills and self-care; these are actions, behaviors and activities aimed at helping you relax, remain calm and release negative, stress-related energies.
